"Of Mice and Men" is the kind of book that haunts you it makes you want to keep reading and it will eat away at you if you do not read it.
The story is about two men George and Lenny who are on a journey to find work. Lenny is different, he sometimes just doesn't realise his own strength. This makes it difficult to stay in one place for a lot of time. George acts as a brotherly figure to Lenny. They arrive one day at a farm and find work, but things start to go bad like the last time.
I thought this was a fantastic book, I felt like I was always there with them, cheering them on. I think Steinbeck really portrayed the scene with the language he used.
I would recommend this book for about 12 or over it includes strong language and can be quite sad at points.
