American Toad
Bufo americanus
The American Toad lives in mainly North America, and its habitat can range from a forest to freshwater pond. Its diet contains a variety of insects, slugs, and snails. Actually, an American Toad can consume 1,000 insects per day! These toads typically are a brown color, with yellow bellies.
They have short, stubby legs with thick skin and warts that produce a poison.
