Treaty of Versailles

The Treaty of Versailles was a treaty that the Germans were forced to sign. The treaty required German to do the following:
1. Germany takes responsibility for causing WWI
2. Germany had to pay reparations and soldier pensions.($30 billion)
3. Limit size of German military
4. Germany had to return Alsace and Lorraine to France
5. Remove territory from western and eastern Germany
6. Strip Germany of all oversea colonies
- The signing of this treaty would lead to the beginning of WWII
