Who he was: Kaiser Wilhelm II was the last German emperor and the King of Prussia. He ruled the German empire and Kingdom of Prussia from June 15, 1888 until November 9, 1918.

Why he was important: Kaiser Wilhelm II was able to expand Germany's military, public schools, and social welfare. He was also one of the most recognized public figures in WWI. During the war he took the title of Supreme War Lord.
