Censorship can come in a variety of forms. Censorship is the systematic elimination of access to information. Stalin not only censored the press, movies, art and other forms of literature, but he censored the people from knowing about his actions and decisions. As a leader, he chose to censor his people so that they were only aware of certain events and decisions that were made, rather than seeing the big picture. He would choose was literature was allowed to be published, what movies were allowed to viewed, and controlled what was broadcasted over the radio and television.
Soviet Censorship
Stalin created positions that were in charge of censoring specific aspects of media and life. these positions sole responsibility was to make sure that people did not have access to things that were censored by Stalin. The Soviet’s were severely limited in regard to their expression and access to certain opinons, including art, literature, and media.
