Chapter 4

In this chapter the two men are put in jail. Perry is put in a cell normally reserved for women at the home of the undersheriff. He becomes friends with the couple at the home and they treat him well. Dick is put in a normal prison where he quickly becomes popular with the inmates. He begins to plan an escape that never occurs. The two men are convicted and put on death row. They are put to death on April 14,1965. This is finally what lets Al Dewey move on with his life.
