King Henry VIII

King Henry became the king of England. He had a wife who wouldn't give birth to children, or boys. He then asked the pope if he could end his marriage, to get a new wife.

The pope said no, and henry was mad. Henry then decided that he wouldn't obey the pope anymore. HE then made a new church Calling it the CHURCH OF ENGLAND. He stayed a lot like the other churches and he opened a way for more Protestants beliefs in England
