A patients POV

"You feel like a prisoner."

"Nothing looks or feels the same way."

"You are afraid, and your heart is beating out of your chest and you don't know how to take control of your body."

•Living with panic disorder, can be extremely challenging. 

• Sufferers find it difficult to focus, and often feel disoriented. 

•Their heart rate increases rapidly, and they often experience the feeling of pins and needles in their  hands or a sudden tension across their shoulders. 

•They also often feel an intense bolt of fear, which makes them want to move away but grounds them to the spot.

•most attacks arrive without warning

"It feels as if the world is rushing at me."
