Vedic Age and the Vedas

-Began around 1500 B.C. and ended around 500 B.C.
- the Vedas was a collection of hymns, chants, ritual instructions and other religious teachings.
-in the Vedas the Aryans are warriors that fight hard and love to eat, drink and dance and love music and chariot races.
-many tribes enter this region and mix with Aryans
- this results in a new civilization called the Mauryan Empire.
