Heart Layers

There are three layers of the heart: the epicardium, the myocardium, and the endocardium.

The myocardium is a bundle of twisted cardiac muscle. It is in between the other two layers.

The endocardium is the bottom layer. It lines the heart chamber with continuous vessels.

The endocardium lines the atria and the ventricles. The epicardium is the outside layer of the heart.
