BACKGROUND INFO
The Gaza Strip is a 146-square-mile strip of land on the west coast of Israel, smaller than the Chicagoland Area. Gaza is home to 1.5 million Palestinians. The Palestinians are Muslim settlers who want Gaza as their own, but so do the Israelis, who are Jewish. Egypt is currently in control of Gaza. Israelis have made it so life in Palestine is very hard. The israelis make it very hard for food, water, and medical supplies to get into Gaza. Israel has set up checkpoints randomly on roads along the border, so it is hard for Gazans to leave Gaza for work.
