13) Traditional - By Erika Zimmer

Why Traditional?
Traditional style should feel classy, yet comfortable. You can tell that this room isn't exactly modern in idea, and yet it fits in today's world . Everything is symmetrical , there is a lot of upholstered furniture, and the patterned rug is a very common attribute to these rooms.

Additional Information:
-This style gets inspiration from the past but is centered around comfort. A traditional room should give off feelings of order and predictability.
-Pieces of furniture should match and remain consistent. The furniture is often arranged on a straight axis within the room.
-Some common accessories used within this type of room are lamps, mirrors, framed prints, china, vases, and collections of books. These are usually arranged in pairs to keep balanced symmetry.
-Upholstered furniture is a common sight as well, with soft edges and a restful look that blends into the room.
