Organizations trying to prevent Decline

One organization trying prevent the decline of the jaguarundi is the U.S. Fish and Wildlife service (FWS) whose main goal is to try and reintroduce the jaguarundi to its abandoned portions of its natural habitats, however, attempts to do this aren't going well because of the limited knowledge of the animal and it behaviors

Research of the animal, despite all of these complications, continue at the Laguna Atascosa National Wildlife Refuge in southern Texas, and a successful captive breeding program is being implemented at the Desert Museum of the University of Arizona
