Jainism is a religion that sprouted off of Hinduism. Mahauira founded it. The difference from Hinduism is that jainists believe Brahmin priests aren't the only people who can perform holy ceremonies. They were to meditate and have self-denial. They would also carry around a broom to sweep before their feet so that they wouldn't harm or kill anything.
