The farming was also difficult but they build chinampas floating gardens and farming from boats. It became the greatest city on the Americas. There were huge temples, busy markets, clean streets, and a huge palace. Europeans were stunned with magnificence when they first entered. 200,000 people lived there but were later destroyed by Europeans. It was one of the best cities known to the Mesoamericas.
