There is not a lot that the clam and frog have in common when it comes to the external anatomy but there are a few. The clam and the frog both have passages to inhale and exhale. In the clam this is called the siphons. There is also a foot in the clam that comes through the shells for movement around the ocean floor.

The frogs external anatomy is much more complex and has many more parts than he clam. The frog also has passages but they are used to breathe, they are called the external nares. It also has feet to help with movement but the clam only has one.
