7. Japan replaced Manchuria with a puppet government called Manchukuo.

8. Atomic Warfare. The first atomic bomb was released on August 6, 1945 at Hiroshima. This bomb devastatingly killed around 200,000 people. Along with that it also destroyed the whole community around it and the environment by practically burning everything around the landing site. The next atomic bomb drop was at Nagasaki and killed 74,000 people and also destroyed the whole environment around it just like at Hiroshima.

9. Multiple deadly battles took places, each bringing the US closer to the Japanese homeland, and each getting worse, as the Japanese grew more desperate and had more will to die for their cause, eventually leading to the devastating kamikaze. Eventually, the US got really close to the homeland with Okinawa and Iwo Jima, and the firebombing of Japan commenced.

10. The Pacific Theater was mostly between the fightings of Japan and the United States. The defeat of Japan only had five major battles in it. This whole war in the pacific was mostly based on aerial attacks and the use of submarines. There was not as much land battles for this war because it was mostly on the ocean or in the sky.

5. Americans liberated Philippines and used this as a place to launch attacks from into the Japanese territory during late 1944. This was after the battle of phillipine sea. It was an air battle and Japan lost 426 aircrafts and two carriers. With this victory, U.S. took back Philippines.

6. Industrial capacity of the US was able to completely overtake the Japanese, leading to their ultimate downfall due to lack of materials and plans and industrial capacity, as mentioned before.
