Latitude is the angular distance of a place north or south of the earth's equator, or of a celestial object north or south of the celestial equator, usually expressed in degrees and minutes. It affects climate by determining how much sunlight an area receives. The more sunlight the warmer the weather and vice verse.
Altitude is the height of an object or point in relation to sea level or ground level. It affects climate because the higher you are the lower the temperature is.
