Cars can cause several environmental effects. For one, cars emit greenhouse gases. These gases, such as CO2, contribute to global warming. Emissions from cars can also be soaked up by both soil and water. Because of this, these emissions can pollute land, which can make it hard to grow things, and water ways, which can effect our drinking water and rivers. Lastly, the nitrogen oxides emitted from cars can cause acid rain. Acid rain can cause a lot of harm to trees and soil.
