Bella Abzug was right when she said this because back in the 1900s women had a very difficult time fighting for the rights to vote and sit in parliament. The men they were fighting against strongly disagreed about what they were fighting for. Women were not allowed to vote, own things like property or bank accounts, or even have a place in government, therefore women were treated politically unfair by men.
