Responding to Stimuli
When coming in contact with stimuli, the nervous system sends signals to your brain that tell you to stop touching the object. The muscular system uses the muscles in your body to pull/move away from the object that you are touching.
The sensory nerves in your hand respond when you are touching the hot surface by sending signals to the brain and the brain sends signals back down to the sensory nerves in your hand telling the muscles in your body to pull away.
