-In the Gupta Empire there were three main metals gold, copper, and iron
-the metals could be used to make coin which can be used for trade
-the metals can also be used to make weapons which will make the army stronger
-tools were also made from these metals which was good for building
-finally the metals could be used to make alloys which will make stronger more powerful tools and weapons

- the roads built in the Gupta Empire helped prevent flooding
- they were built a few feet of the ground
- had ditches or canals on ether side of the roads to drain the water
- the roads also had rest houses on the sides
- this allowed a place for guests to stay for the night

- a man named Aryabhata was a big part of some accomplishments in math for the Gupta Empire
- he and the Gupta Empire found out that a year is really 365.258 days long and calculated the approximate size of the earth
-Aryabhata proposed planets were spheres and was the first scientist to suggest the earth spins on its axis
-The Gupta Empire came up with the Indian system of numerals which was made up of Indian and Arabic numerals
- When the Arabs learned the Indian system of numerals, it spread to Europe

Trade

- the roads in the Gupta Empire Benefited trade
- they allowed traders to move from city to city
- traders could also transport goods from the middle of the city to important Waterways
- from the Waterway the goods could be shipped to other countries
- the roads connected India to China, hence it was beneficial for trading
