Respiratory system
The respiratory system is responsible for taking in oxygen and letting out carbon dioxide. The respiratory system starts in the nose, where mucus lines the nose. Mucus tends to warm and moistens the air. Next the oxygen moves throughout the trachea and gets filtered by the cilia. Then it goes to the bronchial tubes and goes to the alveoli where gas exchange takes place. Then the carbon dioxide is released.
