Similarities Amongst Society in the Colonies

Colonists were driven by either religious, business or a mixture of both

Resented how the British would try to enforce their laws upon them

Church was the center of life

Meeting houses in every colony to discuss political issues

Games & fun were frowned upon and even sometimes considered sinful; hard-work was emphasized

New England & Middle colonies were split into cities & villages

Middle & Southern colonies focused life more around farming
