What is Autism?

Some people have heard of Autism or know someone who has it, but do they really understand it? Autistic spectrum disorder (otherwise known as ASD) can consist of a wide range of things, as no case is the same. I would know this, being on the spectrum myself along with some people around me. As you can see in the picture, it can cause the following problems within the disorder like ADHD and depression, sensory problems like being oversensitive or under sensitive to sound, light and many more.

Autism is a different way of taking in the world, which can sometimes be overwhelming.

The real meaning of Autism.

By Lottie Barker

Hi, I have made this presentation after coming to the conclusion that not enough people know about autism. I also made this to help my teachers to understand me better and also understand my behaviour better. Although this is not overly descripted, there are websites at the end that you can visit. Please feel free to share, and help raise awareness of the real meaning of autism. Thank you:)
