Transportation

Most people transported by horseback, wagons pulled by horses, mules, and oxen.

Texans saw improvement in transportation.

Richard king and mifflin Kenedy rode small steamboats on the south Texas rivers and transported goods this way. Another form of transportation was by stagecoaches.

Railroad construction began in Texas around the 1859s and by the 1860s about 400 miles of track was laid down in put in service.
