Describe:
Analyze:
Interpret:
-Edge lines
-no outlines, just color
-primarily shades of blue, and also white, yellow, and green
-thick, textures brush strokes blend colors and create detail and imply shape and form
-two slim/elongated figures, one woman in yellow and a man in dark blue with wings as tall as him, embracing
I interpret This beautiful painting as an illustration of a person saying goodbye to a deceased loved one, until they meet again in Heaven. The woman in yellow is hugging the angel goodbye, as the title suggests, in their own personal bubble. She pushed aside her sadness, the blue, for a while to say goodbye.
-Negative space is different shades of blue; darkest around edges, then gradually becoming lighter in center (like ombre); it creates a sense of depth as the center appears farther away
-brush strokes go every which way except with the figures that are vertical
-two figures are the focus because of the difference in color
-figures not centered in painting
-curve of the figures' arms are tight around each other
