Describe: This painting shows people gathering around and looking at the man. You have three women, three men, and a dog. The artist uses many different color schemes in this piece to portray the era.
Analyze: In this painting, we can see many overlapping items. For example, the people overlap each other a great deal, especially the children. Also, the furniture in the room overlaps with other pieces of furniture. The artist of this piece also uses the rotation of color schemes, as I stated earlier. On the clothing of the people, it alternates from dark to light repeatedly. But all if the people in this painting have the same color hair which stands out because nothing else in the piece looks the same.
Interpret: I think that the artist was trying to say that even people back then had "family photos." It may not be the same as ours today, but they still had it.
Judge: This painting uses overlapping as well as different color schemes. I find that this painting is easier to look at because of both the overlapping and color choices.
