Awareness projects conducted by people could promote better safety and how crime affects the community. This could promote many things from security and reporting activity that seems illegal and so on. That would be a moderately cheap, yet an effective way to let people know of how to protect themselves and what exactly is going on with crimes.

Possible Solutions for burglary and theft related activity

-Promote better security systems and increase use of security systems in neighborhoods and stores

By promoting better security systems, people in homes and stores could more easily protect themselves. While promoting the systems would be easy and cheap, buying improved security systems would not be cheap.

-Economic revival and vitality

On a national scale, reviving the economy and creating a more equal economy can decrease crimes. This is due to most criminals and people who commit illegal activity are people on the lower end of the economy. While this project is nearly impossible and expensive,it's something that could likely cause crime rates to drop dramatically everywhere.
