Paragraph 3
Maintaining good luck can cause one to be successful. The 1920’s was a place to make dreams possible, but only when there is some luck involved. Gatsby life dream was to become close and be with Daisy once again. Coincidently Daisy’s cousin, Nick, moves in next to the Gatsby mansion. If Gatsby had not been living next door to Nick it is doubtful that Gatsby would have ever met Daisy again. The luck of having Nick allows Gatsby to spend quality time with his love, Daisy. “If you are lucky in this life, you will get help from your enemy.” (Hoagland). With luck on an individual’s side even the impossible can be accomplished. For example, being friends with an enemy or rival. That is an event out or the norm and typically only occurs when some kind of luck is involved. Obtaining luck is beneficial to the level of an individual’s success.
