Location: The Zhou Dynasty was originally located west of the Shang dynasty but after the Shang were defeated , their borders were extended south to Chang Jiang River and east to the Yellow Sea.

Climate
In the Zhou civilization the summers were quite hot. Winters usually are cold and very wet. Though occasionally, winter will have good amounts of snow. Spring and fall had usually cool temperatures. Though China is such a massive country, so different regions had different climates. For example the northern part of China has much more snowfall for a longer period of time compared to central China, which received small amounts of snowfall.
