Francis Crick teamed up with James Watson in 1953 to discover the accurate structure of a DNA. They were successful in doing so, and they made the first accurate model of DNA. The model represented the physical and chemical properties of DNA. Crick also contributed to the theory that the two strands split to make replicates. This life changing discovery led to the explanation replication of genes and later on, even chromosomes.
