“Projected on a national basis, more than 400,000 male youth in college ages from 18 to 22, gamble for money at least once a week on the internet, and over 1.7 million do so at least once a month.” High School-aged males showed only a small increase in use of internet gambling between 2008 and 2010, from 2.7 percent to 6.2 percent, representing over 530.000 high school - aged males. While High School-aged females gamble less online, they tend to gamble more in person. 9.5 percent in 2008, and 22 percent on 2010. Sports betting in females went from 18.9 percent in 2008 to 28.2 percent in 2010.
