1. In this condition pleural membranes are involved in this condition. Pleural membranes allow organs to slide easily together without friction. John's condition is so painful because the organ membranes stick together, rub and creates friction.
2. Negative feedback.
This is because when you are dehydrated it results in low blood pressure which in turn results in renin release from the juxtaglomerular apparatus. Once water has been taken in the blood pressure increases, pathway is stopped, making it a negative feedback mechanism.
