REVISIT THE PROJECT

REVISIT PROJECT 1

Transportation
During the 1850's most people still rode horseback or in wagons pulled by horses, mules, or oxen. But those who had cattle used horses while they worked. But however Texans did see much improvement in transportation. Sandbars and raft or floating masses of natural debris, made steamboat travel impossible on most Texas rivers. Many towns were served with stagecoaches, some freight and mail.
