Guatape Rock is one of the natural wonders of South America in all its glory and beauty. It is a natural rock popping of the ground from nowhere, situated on a place with an altitude of 2135 meters and 644 stairs lead to the top as the rock itself is a little higher than 200 meters. There is a watchtower and a souvenir shop on the top. From the edge of the rock you can admire the beautiful view that opens towards the Guatape lake. Local Colombians believe that the rock have space origin and was formed due to meteorite impact. The alleged theory is that the rock, which has become a great attraction.
