Volcanos

- Volcanos form as a result of the movement of tectonic plates, specifically a subduction boundary. This is when one plate slides under the other, where it melts and erupts back up through cracks in the crust.
- Volcanoes are dangerous to humans; if someone is too close to one when it erupts, their home could be destroyed and they could possibly even die. The extremely hot lava can cause major destruction.
- volcanoes also produce lots of ash and smoke when they erupt, which lingers in the air and calls for lower air quality. It may be harder for people to get clean oxygen in the area.
