Grasslands

- Grasslands can be formed by a number of processes, including wildfires, grazing herds (soil building), winds, and glaciation (erosion/weathering). Many grasslands lie on the dry side of mountain ranges, where it's harder for trees to survive.
- Grasslands tend to be vast and generally flat, which can allow space for farming.
- Grasslands can also provide us with space to build things such as wildlife preserves or homes.
- Either of these effects could potentially be harmful to the grassland, since there is only so much space to be used. However, it could help the populations of people and animals increase.
