Captured in disguise
Himmler advised Höss to disguise himself under German navy personnel. He evaded arrest for nearly a year
He was captured by British troops- some born Jews in Germany- on March 11, 1946. He was disguised as a farmer and called himself Franz Lang.
His wife revealed to the British where he was fearing the safety of her son Klaus from the Soviet Union where he could be imprisoned or tortured.
