Höss appeared at the international at Nuremberg on April 15, 1946 where he gave his detailed testimony of his crimes.

On May 25, 1946, he was handed over to Polish authorities and the supreme national tribunal tried him for murder.

His trial lasted from March 11 to March 29, 1947.
