Why did it happen here?

The main reason why the population is growing so rapidly is because Uganda has no commitment to family planning. The total fertility rate is 6.05 children per woman(2011), which is actually decreased slightly but is still causing the outrageous population growth. There is an estimated 700 000 unplanned births every year but there is a lack of funds to provide Uganda with family planning needs including the necessary contraception.
