Where is this country located in the world? Does this play any role in the disparity?

Uganda being located in Africa definitely has an influence of these disparities. The whole continent experiences a lot of poverty and are experiencing so many disparities that Uganda cannot break the cycle. Child mortality rates are very high (in sub-Saharan Africa 1 in 10 children die before 5 years old) which causes the incredibly high fertility rates because parents want to ensure that they have a living child to help support them in the long-run. Africa also has a very low GDP per capita throughout the whole continent, which doesn't allow for much technological advancements. Also, there are limited opportunities in Africa which makes there be a high brain drainage in allowing for no positive advancements throughout the continent.
