Succession

Primary Succession- Has little or no soil at all and no biotic factors have existed there yet. Pioneer Species are all over the place, ( things like algae and lichen ).
Secondary Succession- Has had previous damage done to its surface, like a wildfire , and had to start a new and improved forest. There's trees and some pioneer species.

Primary Succession is a fresh, new land. With no marks or problems with it, like a healthy newborn child. While the secondary succession has been damaged but is becoming a strong, healthy forest. This is why they are different, because one of them hasn't had any damage done to it while the other has.

Pioneer Species- The first plants to colonize in a forest. Are usually algae, lichens, and mosses.

Climax community- When plants and animals reach a stable and healthy environment and can all exist together.
