Who Were They There?

The Mayan civilization first appeared in about 1000BC. The Mayans lived in what used to be forests and planted crops. The forests made up for their difficult farming with food and other supplies. One of the major resources was wood which they used for almost everything. There was also obsidian which they used for trade.
