Mayan cities were big with big buildings. They had pyramids, temples, and palaces. One of the biggest buildings in Mayan history was in the city of Palenque. It was a temple which honored the king Pacal for his achievements. To decorate their temples, they had pictures and paintings of gods and goddesses.
