Diagonal

In this picture of a library, diagonal lines are in use going across the book cases. The diagonal lines break up the horizontal lines going across the bookcase. When looking at this picture, the diagonal lines cause my eyes to keep going up and above the room.

Curved

The picture of this kitchen seating arrangement uses curved lines to cause excitement and create something different then just normal boring horizontal lines. The wall itself is curved, along with the seat, the table, and even though the picture frames are made from horizontal/vertical lines, they give the impression of a curved line because of the curved wall.
