Knights

Social role: mounted warriors. Just under the nobility; rich but not as rich as lords
-At age 7 slated to become Kinights and was sent to father’s lord’s castle
-Learned to fight, ride, and keep armor in good condition. Very strict.
-Fought on horseback with swords, axes and lances. Served in war and mock battles AKA tournaments

Less than 5% of the entire population was knights

Chivalry is a code of conduct for knights. They had to be brave, loyal and true to their word. They Had to fight fairly and treat those captured well and protect the weak.
