Their life and duties

Lords own the fiefs, large strips of land, and grant them to vassals to earn their loyalty. The Lord is the highest rank in feudalism and the vassals they give their land to are strictly loyal to them. The Lords always had a place of power in the structure on feudalism. The vassals had vassals. There was only one lord for each fief.
