Peasants

Peasant life

Peasants lived a hard life of labor. Disease took a heavy toll on the peasants and few lived beyond the age of thirty five. The peasants ate a simple diet of black bread, veggies and they seldom had meat. They celebrated during marriages and births. They also got breaks during Easter and Christmas even though they had to pay a fine then. That was a time they got to eat meat. 90% of the people were peasants.
