Knights and Nobles

The knights lives revolved around warfare. Nobles began training as boys in the hope of becoming a knight. Training was difficult and it was an honor to become a knight. They engaged in mock battles called tournaments. Knights were often vassals.Knights lived in castles and defended the castle when under attack. 5% of the people were vassals/ knights.

The knights adopted a code of conduct called chivalry.

Troubadours were wandering musicians that sang about the bravery of knights.

This required knights to be brave and fight fairly in warfare.
